ravenpaw.Practice. Of course practice, repeating the same movement at times was frustating, but of course was necessary. Her ears twitched at the hunting of hunting once more. That was something she could do easily. Though at the thought of a lizard, her ears flattened down. She understood that it was food, and at times some poke's favorite, they for some reason enjoyed the rugged and dry skin of the lizard. She on the otherhand, preferred the warm and juicy taste of warmer animals like a rabbit or even deer meat.
However catching the encouraging look from her mentor, Ravenpaw's tail drooped down from it's once raised postion. The rest of her body followed into a crouching position, and she made her way toward the green lizard that seemed to remain unaware of the two poke prescence.
With her eyes glued on the lizard, Ravenpaw leaped toward the lizard, her paws unsheathed and grabbing the lizard in her claws, brining her maw toward the lizard she wrapped her jaw around the lizards head and gave a slight bite, causing the lizard to stiffen up.
Grabbing the lizard by its tail, Ravenpaw dragged the tail over toward her mentor and dropped it at her feet. In a somewhat cheeky way, Ravenpaw grabbed her mentor's attnetion by stating, "Here's the lizard you wanted. Now she had five prizes to carry with her back to the camp. Not a bad day for not being on a patrol.

Shadowstar studied Ravenpaw's hunters crouch as she closed in on the lizard. Lizards were a one-time chance to catch if you could approach them unaware. However, once they heard you, they were neigh on impossible to catch. Only quickest of warriors could catch them then. Ravenpaw moved over the ground without making a sound and caught the lizard cleanly. Another good catch for the day.
"That was a very nice crouch. Good balance." Shadowstar stood back up and looked back up at the sky. Perhaps they should head back. The dawn patrol would be back at camp soon, and she wanted to be there when they got back. She returned her gaze back to Ravenpaw. "Let's collect your other catches and head back to camp. I want to be there when the dawn patrol gets back." Shadowstar padded over the where Ravenpaw had buried the rabbit and dug it up. She put it down in front of Ravenpaw and picked the lizard up. She figured the apprentice would want to carry back in her best catch of the day. Not to say lizards weren't good, but she knew the apprentice preferred furry animals. She nodded to Ravenpaw to lead the way to her other catches.

"If you want to see the dawn patrol, we should hurry. I tracked the rabbit all the way from the WindClan border, so most of my catches are from down there." Ravenpaw noted, as she thought about the adventure she had from tracking the rabbit. She had been surprised by the long path it had taken to find the rabbit, by the scent it was fairly fresh and she was hoping that the rabbit would be worth it in the end, it turned out it was.
With a flick of her tail, she flexed her toes and claws into the soft earth. After some quick thinking, she glanced at Shadowstar with a smirk, "As a side thought, why don't we race? Just for that small creek right before the WindClan border." It had only been a few moons since her apprenticeship with the ShadowClan leader, and she had yet to actually see for herself how fast her mentor was. She heard that she was on par with most of the WindClan territory, even in the forest, so she thought this would be the perfect opportunity to see if she, even as an apprenticeship, had the talent for speed---if not she would focus more on her endurance or her strength.

Shadowstar listened to her apprentice as she suggested a race to the WindClan border to collect her other prey. She got a little firefliesy as Ravenpaw suggested a race; she hadn't had a good run for a while and it would be nice to stretch her legs in that way. She stretched her wings up as she buried the lizard she had in her mouth and the rabbit. "We will come back this way for these." Shadowstar folded her wings back up and threw Ravenpaw a playful glance. "Are you ready?" Shadowstar crouched down and then pushed off with her hind legs to quickly gain some speed. She did not bother to look behind her to see if the blue feline had followed. She only focused on the pounding off her paws against the slightly muddy forest ground beneath her. She kept her wings closely pulled against her sides. If they were to catch wind, they might throw her back. She agilely leaped over roots and fallen branches along the way.
