The sun had barely rose in the sky when Moondancer had awoke. When she woke up she had grabbed a mouse off the pile and had begun to chew into it. She had watched the young apprentice, Ravenpaw, leave camp while she was eating her meal. She had wondered what the apprentice was up to so early. Even now as she walked she contemplated what the young apprentice was up to. As she had finished her meal she had decided to head out on patrol and as she was leaving she had noticed Shadowstar awake, but she didn't feel there was a reason to inform the leader of her departure.
After walking for many minutes through the territory she had now reached a tangle of pine and oak trees which made up the shared border with ThunderClan. As she walked the routine of the morning had gone through her mind. She wondered what Shadowstar and her apprentice would be doing today and if anyone else would head out on patrol. Moodancer was used to started her mornings early, but she didn't realize that anyone else did to. She let out a bored yawn as she trekked along the border.
She raised her tail proudly, trying to show she was confident being in her own territory in case anyone from ThunderClan approached. She sniffed at the air and flicked her ears from side to side listening, but she heard nothing not even the sound of prey. She sighed and lowered herself to the ground and rubbed her stomach against the grass and rolled to her side and began stretching her legs against her and out against the ground, rubbing her scent into the debris. She stood and began rubbing her sides against the trees around her spreading her scent and the scent of ShadowClan over the border to let ThunderClan know that they were still checking up on their markers.
Once she had finished rubbing herself across the trees and the ground she then sat and tilted her head to side and stared up at the trees in front of her. Moondancer took in a deep breath and closed her eyes becoming engulfed in her own world.

blackice.Blackice was not the usual individual to be awake at the current hour, where the sun was barely visible over the horizon. However, for some reason this morning Blackice found herself being early bird.
Paws softly padding across the ground through the ThunderClan territory. Blue eyes glancing around as Blackice made her way toward the borders. While she wasn't assigned the duty of patrolling them, the deputy had been busy at the time, and Luckystar had been out of the camp at the time, which resulted into the delay of duties being handed out.
As such Blackice found herself taking it on herself to patrol the border. As she made her way, the stench pines made there way into her snares. The scent identifed that she was near the ShadowClan border, it was clearly defined by the sudden start of pines. Shadows was all she could see into their territory, unlike everday presence of the sun in the ThunderClan territory.
Walking along the border, the fresh scent of a ShadowClan warrior, overwhelmed her for a moment. Shaking her head, Blackice continued her way, making an extra effort to remain cautious.

A gently breeze nudged at Moondancer's large black ears, she shook her head breaking from her thoughts. She blinked sleep from her eyes and quickly glanced around checking if she was alone. Not sensing anyone she lowered her front against the ground and stretched out her front limbs, arching her back in a relaxing stretch. She flexed each of her toes before rising to all fours. She twisted her head from side to side once more checking for any signs of other pokes, not detecting any she continued to walk along the shared border.
As she walked along the tree line she rubbed her shoulder against the bark of the pines to ensure that the scent of ShadowClan was strong on their side of the border. As she trekked along the border the scent of a ThunderClan warrior entered her nostrils, a low growl quivered through her throat and her tail twitched tensely behind her. Moondancer started to crouch to the ground and her black ears went flattened against her head as she continued to walk along, cautiously. After a few moments of walking in her crouched positioning a realization suddenly popped into her mind, I don't need to walk with such caution, this is our border and as long as I stay on the ShadowClan side there is nothing a member of ThunderClan can do about me patrolling here, since it is part of our duty, she quickly shook her head and allowed her large ears to stand upright on her head. Her thick tail still raised, but only slightly in a relaxed position. Moondancer then continued to walk along the border, her ears constantly twitching for any sounds of the ThunderClan warrior, to make sure she was aware if "it" got closer to her.

blackice.Ice blue eyes landed on a dark figure on the other side of the ThunderClan border. It was approaching in the opposite direction, possibly another warrior on patrol. As Blackice neared the figure with every step, the stench of a ShadowClan warrior, became stronger, furthering the idea that it was another individual patrolling.
At first glance, Blackice was positive that the poke had some umbreon in it, as the dark black pelt and gold rings did resemble what a pure umbreon, would have been, however there were other aspects that suggested the warrior wasn't pure.
Glancing around Blackice, noted that on her side of the border, she was alone, solo on her patrol. She was positive that the other warrior was as well on its own; however one could never be sure where a ShadowClan warrior could be hiding in those dark pines.
Keeping her eyes on the figure, Blackice allowed her claws to dig into the earth with every step. Her tails rose somewhat, she was ready for any encounter that might occur with the opposing individual. However, it was possible that she could worm some information out of the warrior, you never know how willing to talk opponents could be.
"Well, well...what do we have here?"
She knew in the long run, she would regret conversing with another warrior patrolling, while she herself was alone. Though it seemed that in this moment, Blackice had the height advantage, if only by a little, it would lead to some advantage if a fight occurred. It wasn't often that she was taller than most other warriors.

Moondancer had just lowered herself against the ground to rub her scent against the debris scattered beneath the pines, losing concentration of being aware of the ThunderClan warrior she had scented moments ago. Upon standing upright once again the scent of the ThunderClan poke was now stronger, her fur bristled and she stood still for a moment, her muscles growing stiff. A cold shiver ran down her spine, but she quickly shook her head to clear it, there is nothing to fear, she thought to herself, as long as I stay on my side and them on theirs I am in no danger, Moondancer let out a relaxing breath allowing her muscles to relax and her fur to lay flat against her back, but before she could make a decision of whether to continue to the WindClan border or head back to camp she heard a voice: "Well, well...what do we have here?", it was the ThunderClan warrior!
Alarm raced through her veins, but she quickly relaxed once again, she wasn't doing anything wrong. She whirled her head from side to side looking for the speaker and her red gaze fell on a dark pelted warrior that appeared to resemble a ninetales, but it was the wrong color. Moondancer tilted her head in curiosity and wondered how she should reply to the other lone warrior. She flared her nostrils tasting the air, seeing if she could pick up the scent of any other ThunderClan scent, but she could only pick up the fresh scent of the poke before her.
"All that's here is a bunch of trees and a ShadowClan warrior on a lone, dawn patrol", Moondancer replied, trying to sound confident, but also relaxed. She wasn't trying to be hostile, but more of just stating the facts, she had no idea what this warrior had really expected in response anyway. She hadn't ever talked to any other pokes from other Clans, but they were both on their separate sides and there was nothing against it.

blackiceStretching out her claws, Blackice made her way toward the border, taking care to rub her pelt against the few small pines, Blackice made sure to keep a couple feet away from the border. Her ears twitched at the sound of the ShadowClan's voice. She was surprised that she actually got a reply. And yet even though she was a young warrior and on the opposite side of the border, she knew her manners and knew that in order to be polite one must continue the conversation once its been started. Especially, it was a sure way to get know the warrior. She hadn't seen her around, the clans-- well that didn't say much. She was still learning the names of many of the clan cats, and honesty she's only been to a gathering once or twice in her life so far.
Keeping her blue eyes on the warrior Blackice replied, "You know, it probably isn't the wiset thing to let a stranger know that you're on your own." Well that didn't come out right. It, in way sounded a lot like she just made a threat. That was not her intention, not at all, she just felt like sharing some advice, but knowing ShadowClan warriors she felt that she better fix her mistake before any thoughts started forming in the warriors head. "But...before you start thinking things, and getting the wrong idea about what I just said, I didn't mean that as a threat or anything...I'm just stating facts. That still didn't sound right, yet it was still better than before.

Moondancer stared at the warrior, watching her every move as she rubbed her own scent on her own side of the border. She started to debate whether to sit or not, but really, they likely wouldn't have any real lasting conversation, so she remained standing. Her large ears were pricked upright on her head as she listened to the warriors every step. Her neck fur bristled slightly at the reply from the opposing warrior, but then titlted her head as she attempted to correct herself to make her sound less hostile.
"It doesn't really matter, if you used your nose you'd be able to smell for yourself that I'm alone. Which, from the scent in the air I am fairly certain you are alone as well, so I see no harm in stating what is obvious to both of our noses", Moondancer replied, calmly.
"Or should I worry? Our Clans are not in any quarrel currently. Neither of us would gain anything from having a fight with one or the other. Unless there is some plot in ThunderClan to attempt to take over the entire land, but from what I've been told that's not really your nature", she added, still being calm, she didn't see why this ThunderClan poke thought it was wrong to state the obvious.
Moondancer tilted her head to another side, she didn't recognize this ThunderClan poke, but she hadn't been to many Gatherings since she wasn't really a social poke, but she did fine when it was one on one, but even though there were no other warriors around, Moondancer was still cautious. ThunderClan wasn't known to attack for no reason, but that didn't mean she wouldn't.
