Sunhigh was fast approaching and the Clan would be awaking and getting hungry soon. Lightfoot had woken up as a hunting patrol had started to head out of camp and he had been asked to join them. He of course agreed, he was a loyal ThunderClan warrior after all even if he often tended to be lazy. He had decided to hunt over by the Sun Stones alone and told the patrol he would meet up with them later before they returned to camp.
Lightfoot shook out his black and yellow spiked pelt before heading out of the camp. Along the way he made sure to do a little hunting. He stuck to the thickest parts of the forest to use his darker colored back to his advantage to help keep himself hidden. He caught the scent of squirrel, mouse and rabbit. He decided to go after the rabbit since it would contain the most meat. His long ears picked up the sound of it chewing among some roots and sprinted towards it. His light form carried him towards the rabbit easily. The rabbit noticed his presence and began to flee, but it was too late, Light foot was right at it's heels. He sprang himself forward his large claws out stretched and landed into the back of the rabbit. He knocked it to one side as he hit the ground, doing his best to avoid falling on top of it. He then lunged his teeth into it's neck to ensure it was dead and not just stunned. Once it was dead he head it beneath a thorn bush and continued on his way to the Sun Stones.
Lightfoot finally reached the Sun Stones and had managed to capture a squirrel, a mouse and another rabbit on his way to the out crop of rocks. As he approached he scented mouse and saw it scurrying around the bottom of the large out crop. He crouched down into the hunters crouch, making sure to distribute his weight evenly over his legs. He laid his ears back against his head and they gently hovered over his shoulders. He slowly crept towards the small brown figure as it unknowingly scurried among the grass. He closed in on his prey and then sprinted forward trapping the alarmed mouse among his paws and quickly sunk his small fangs down on the back of the small creature's throat. He placed the small body under another thorn bush where he had placed his second rabbit that he had caught on his way there.
He let out a yawn and hopped up onto one of the rocky out crops, by now sunhigh was nearly upon them, he sighed for he knew he would have to head back to camp soon to meet up with the patrol, but then he thought, I don't need to go back, I've been hunting all morning. I can just explain I lost track of time, mind made up he lowered himself against the smooth surface of the rock. The sun had warmed it's surface slightly since it hadn't been up for that long, but that didn't matter, he just wanted to relax. Lightfoot let out a tired yawn and laid his head against his out stretched front legs. The rising sun warmed his back, which was covered in black fur. I've been hunting all morning, I think I deserve to have a rest, he thought and with that he started to slowly close his dark purple eyes and settle in for a nap.

Crimsonstrike padded through the forest as he followed along behind a hunting patrol. He had returned from camp tired and wanting to rest, but he had been "invited" on to a hunting patrol instead. He didn't really want to explain that he had been out all night talking to Luckystar, so he reluctantly joined. Of course, Lightfoot had wandered off on his own instead of joining them. He probably went to go nap somewhere. Crimsonstrike snorted at the thought, but he knew he wasn't giving enough credit to the warrior. He would catch something, and then nap.
The hunting patrol parted and Crimsonstrike headed off in the direction of the Sun Rocks. He knew this time of year prey would be plentiful around it just like the warriors of ThunderClan would. He stopped and sniffed the air around him. The scent of squirrel hit his mouth and he scanned the immediate area to find it. He spotted a light grayish brown pelt scuffing through the dead leaves on the ground. He crouched down and made sure to evenly distribute his weight among his four paws. He then picked his tail up and moved forward. When he was close enough, he pounced. The squirrel realized too late what was amiss and Crimsonstrike caught it beneath his paws. He quickly put it down with a bite to the neck. He buried the limp squirrel before heading off again.
Crimsonstrike padded out in to the Sun Rocks clearing and ThunderClan scent quickly hit his nostrils. A particular warrior scent. He narrowed his eyes as he scanned the massive rocks. He found who he was looking for and pounced up on to the rocks. He growled low and prodded the dozing Lightfoot. "I hope you caught something before you came up here to laze around." Crimsonstrike stood menacing over the warrior. He had been an apprentice with the black and yellow canine, and he clearly remembered the mischief he always got in to. A part of Crimsonstrike admired the rebellious side of the young warrior.

The sound of a hunter attacking something in the distance of his rocky ledge caught the attention of Lightfoot's ears. His ears twitched slightly and he didn't bother to open his eyes, instead he flared his nostrils to taste the air and determined it was a warrior from his Clan, great, he thought, I hope they don't see me up here, he silently hoped. He was hopeful that his Clan-mate would take their catch and go, but unfortunately he heard the sounds of light paw steps and a growl erupt from atop the rock, he let out a sigh. He quickly started to think of an excuse for resting up on the rocks, when his thoughts were cut off by a prodding paw.
Lightfoot opened his eyes and lifted his head to look up at the red and grey feline, Crimsonstrike. He narrowed his eyes slightly, but then tilted his head to the side, letting his ears flop, playing a look of an innocence. He then pulled his lips back in a sly smile, "nah I decided that the sun was just too much to resist", he replied, smugly and then rolled onto his back, his paws pulled up to his chest. He then winked at her and closed his eyes completely and tilted his nose up to the sky.
"Nah, I'm kidding. Of course I caught something. I caught some rabbits, some mouses and a squirrel", Lightfoot, replied, with a slight taunt to his voice, he added, "I sure hope you caught something before you headed up here".
((yeah I know. I wasn't sure if I had messed up the gender or not and I went to check and didn't find anything, so sorry if I missed it D: but I know he's male xD))

(Crimsonstrike is a male. ) Crimsonstrike lashed his tail as Lightfoot gave him a smart-ass answer. He knew the warrior had caught something but seeing the warrior dozing made angry. Perhaps he anger issues. When Lightfoot winked at him, he wanted to smack him with unsheathed claws. Definitely some anger issues. Lightfoot eventually confessed he was kidding and also turned the question back at him. Crimsonstrike puffed up his chest. "Of course I caught something. I was heading the Sun Rocks to hunt and, to my surprise, found you napping! Though I guess it really wasn't a surprise."
Crimsonstrike turned away from the Jolteon mix and leaped down back on to the ground. He opened his mouth once more and scented for prey. Of course, it occurred to him that he had scared the prey away by now. He hadn't exactly been the quietest hoping up on to the rocks. Finally, the scent of deer hit his nostrils. He ears perked up and his eyes lit up. Before he went tracking it down, he was going to need some help catching it. He reluctantly turned back to Lightfoot. Crimsonstrike hoped quietly up the rocks to where the black and yellow warrior lay. Rather reluctantly he asked, "I've scented deer." Crimsonstrike figured the comment spoke for itself.

Lightfoot sensed tension in Crimonstrike's voice as he replied, it amused him and he continued to smile cheekily.
"Ooh, I see. So instead of hunting prey you decided to hunt down napping warriors that had already spent time hunting?", he asked, with a teasing tone. "Of course it was no surprise I was up here, it's just so early and after hunting down prey for our Clan, I just couldn't resist the warm surface of these rocks", he explained, still holding an amused look on his face. He did enjoy being a bit of a joke-ster and the fact that Crimsonstrike was annoyed, just made it all the better.
Lightfoot became less amused as Crimsonstrike turned away from him. He let out a sigh and rolled onto his side and closed his eyes again to nap once again. As he began to drift off to sleep, he heard Crimonstrike pad over to him again, he opened his eyes, but didn't bother to look up. As Crimsonstrike spoke telling him of the herd of deer, Lightfoot sat upright. Deer would satisfy the needs of their Clan more than small rodents. It wasn't often that deer were found in any territory, so this was a rare opportunity and not one Lightfoot would miss out on and he knew Crimsonstrike only bothered to tell him because it took more than one poke to take a deer down.
Lightfoot got to his feet and quietly padded to the edge of the rocks and closed his eyes, flaring his nostrils he sniffed at the air and sure enough also scented the deer Crimsonstrike had. He turned to Crimsonstrike and nodded and flattened his ears, "you scented them first, so you lead", he replied, at last.

Crimsonstrike watched as Lightfoot strode over the edge of the rocks to check the scent. Crimsonstrike felt slightly offended that the warrior didn't take his word for it, but he knew they had to keep quiet to track down the deer. He padded up along the black and yellow warrior and nodded to him. Drinking in the scent once more, he pinpointed the direction it was in and leaped stealthy down on to the ground. He flicked his tail for Lightfoot to follow.
Crimsonstrike carefully placed his paws as he led the way in to the forest. By the smell, the deer was a little ways inside the tree line and approaching the Sun Rocks clearing. It was probably looking to graze. He thought as he led the way around the scent on to its left side. He turned to Lightfoot as he thought about the best way to approach the mammal. "Perhaps you should go around its right side, and we can approach it from both directions." Crimsonstrike crouched down as he awaited Lightfoot's reply.

((such a late reply Dx))
Lightfoot stealthily picked his way down the rocks, being as quiet and quick as possible. Once he reached the ground he lowered his four limbs to the ground, and spread his legs apart preparing himself into the best suitable position for stalking prey that would keep him out of sight and would also allow his weight to be distributed more evenly to avoid any unnecessary sound as he crept through the forest towards their target.
Once he settled into his positioned he noted Crimsonstrike's tail flick signaling for him to follow, he didn't bother to signal that he had understood the sign, since Crimsonstrike was facing away from him and wouldn't be able to tell. He quietly followed behind the other warrior. He was mindful of where he placed his paws, careful to avoid any branches or stones that could cause a sound or even cause him discomfort that would make him useless in the real hunt that was sure to ensue once they found their prey. The scent of the deer constantly enveloped his scent glands, they were getting close and his paws were eager for the chance to sink his claws and fangs into the flesh of the animal they were stalking. He stopped, noticing that the warrior he was following had.
He pricked his ears, silently questioning why they had stopped their approach and then he heard Crimsonstrike's plan, he nodded, "good idea",he whispered back, "that way we'll be sure to capture the beast and bring back plenty of meat for the Clan", he boasted, as quietly as possible. His voice having a slight edge of excitement to it, as he could not wait to actually begin the chase to capture the large animal,"I'll go get in position, it will only take me a few minutes. Count to thirty once you get yourself positioned on the left and then just charge the beast and get it to come towards me and then I'll ambush it and aim for its legs, to get it unbalanced and then you can go for the throat", he replied, adding on his own idea for their hunting plan.
Lightfoot didn't bother to wait for a reply, he stalked away off to the right of where he presumed that deer was hiding itself, leaving Crimsonstrike on his own until he also started to creep over on the left. Lightfoot also paid attention to the wind to ensure that his scent wouldn't drift to their prey too soon. He crept along quietly and inched closer to the scent of the deer. Soon he even could see the slight rustle of leaves as the deer was apparently looking for some good grazing and was likely casually picking its way at some roots to satisfy its hunger for the time being. Lightfoot licked his lips and got as close to the creature as he dared and waited for Crimsonstrike to alert the prey to his presence, so that he could lash out at the deer's legs and force it to the ground where it would become an easy target to their fangs.
